The Ramp integration connects Ramp, a corporate spend management platform, with Accounting Seed in Salesforce. It automates the flow of spend data between the two systems so card transactions, vendor bills, and employee reimbursements recorded in Ramp are reflected in your Accounting Seed records without manual data entry.

What Is Ramp?

Ramp is a corporate expense or spend management platform that lets businesses issue corporate cards, pay vendor bills, and reimburse employees. Spend is tracked and coded directly in Ramp by cardholders and approvers, then passed to your accounting system. The Accounting Seed integration is what receives that spend and turns it into accounting records.

• Card Transactions: An employee swipes their Ramp corporate card at, say, a hotel or to pay for software. That charge shows up in Ramp. The employee (or their manager) codes it: "this was a Travel expense" or "this was a Software expense." Once coded and approved, the integration pulls it into Accounting Seed as a Journal Entry so the expense is recorded in the books. The integration records it as a Journal Entry, with a debit to the expense GL Account the cardholder coded in Ramp and a credit to a clearing liability account that represents the outstanding balance owed to Ramp. That balance clears through your normal bank reconciliation process when the card statement is paid.
• Bills: A vendor sends an invoice (for example, a contractor submits a $5,000 invoice). The company loads that bill into Ramp, approves it, and pays it through Ramp. The integration pulls it into Accounting Seed as a Payable.
• Reimbursements: An employee paid for something out of their own pocket (for example, bought office supplies with a personal card) and submits it for reimbursement in Ramp. Similar to Bills, it becomes a Payable to the employee.

If your organization is new to corporate card management: unlike a vendor invoice, a corporate card purchase doesn't generate a payable; it's a direct spend event.

Some important benefits for your team include:

• No manual data entry required since card transactions, bills, and reimbursements sync directly into Accounting Seed.
• Card transactions, bills, and reimbursements all post to the GL in Accounting Seed, giving your accounting team a single source of truth.
• Using AI, transactions are automatically coded based on similar historical spend.
• Spend data is available in Accounting Seed in real-time as transactions sync, without waiting for month-end reconciliation.
• Receipts are matched to transactions, out-of-policy spend is flagged in Ramp, and a full audit trail is maintained in Accounting Seed.

How the Ramp Integration Works

The integration runs as six automated sync pipelines in two directions. First master data (your GL accounts, accounting variables, and vendor list) is pushed from Accounting Seed to Ramp so cardholders have the right coding options available. Once master data is in place, transactional data is pulled from Ramp into Accounting Seed, on demand or on a schedule.

Journal Entries, Payables and Cash Disbursements are created in Accounting Seed with an 'In Process' Posting Status so that your accounting team can review then post these records through your normal workflows.

Note: All pipelines are safe to re-run. Each record is tracked by a stable external ID, so running a sync twice never creates duplicates; it updates the same records in place.
